Just when you thought you’ve heard it all–Parenting from the Heart offers a new and different,
refreshing approach to parenting. This easy-to-understand, down-to-earth book moves beyond parenting theories
and techniques to get to the heart of parenting. If parents know how to look within their hearts to find the
answers they need, parenting techniques are not necessary. If parents know how to find a loving connection with
their children at most times, discipline and consequences are rarely necessary. All parents have it within them
to bring out the best in their children. Approaching parents in this way makes parenting a true pleasure instead
of the battle and chore it often becomes. Many so-called experts say that raising kids is the toughest job any of
us will ever do, but it does not have to be that way. It can be the most joyful thing any of us will ever do.
Parenting from the Heart is a must resource for anyone who cares about parenting and raising children.
Reader Reviews
I can’t tell you how you have impacted my life. I have taught parenting courses for four years,
and when I get up in the morning I now think about treating my kids in a gentle, lighthearted spirit, and it works!
The rest just falls into place. The stress of providing care for eight kids and a husband’s Monday-Friday commute
takes its toll, but I’m learning to pay attention to my thinking and go back to calm and the love returns... Thank
you for writing this book. It is very dynamic and has provided me with a sense of freedom.
- Jessie Peterson, PTA Coordinator, Great Falls, MT
This book saved my life, and it probably saved my kids lives too!
- Gina, parent, St. Johnsbury, VT
This book will restore the reader’s faith in family fun and full enjoyment of the parenting experience at
every age and stage of the children’s development, regardless of the circumstances. Jack Pransky’s sincere,
common-sense approach shows the way to simplicity and joy for both parents and children based on mutual respect
and love, and always getting to the heart of matters.
- Judith Sedgeman, Ph. D.
Jack Pransky demonstrates clearly how every parent can access the wisdom and perspective needed to raise
healthy, happy, and even wise children--a true breakthrough in the field of parenting . . . Any child whose
parent benefits from the depth of insight in this book is much more likely to be raised in a climate that
enables them to realize their full potential as a healthy, loving, and productive human being.
- Roger C. Mills, Ph.D. author, Realizing Mental Health
Jack Pransky offers practical wisdom grounded in intimate experiences with his own children... It is
refreshing to celebrate with Jack the innate goodness and potential for healthy living that lies within
humanity. To see these qualities within children and nurture them in body, mind and spirit so that health
can be realized and expressed as spontaneous element of life is one of the greatest contributions one
generation can make to the next.
- H. Stephen Glenn, author, Raising Self-Reliant Children In A Self-Indulgent World
Developing Capable People, and co-author of Positive Discipline A-Z
