The Northeast GED Center Preparation Guidebook has been developed to help students learn the foundations of English grammar, Writing, Reading, Math, Social Studies, and Science in order to successfully pass the newly revised and challenging GED Test.

The Guidebook was written by Bonnie Kaye, M.Ed. and Stacie Goldsmith, B.A. who have over 40 years combined experience in teaching GED preparation. Together they have developed this accelerated system which will quickly lead you to success in earning your GED. This same information will help you with future entrance tests for higher education in either college or career school, as well as tests in various fields of employment.

About the Authors

Bonnie Kaye, M.Ed., a GED graduate, has a 30-year distinguished background in counseling and education. She worked as an administrator in a post-secondary career school for 23 years while teaching GED part time at the Philadelphia Community College for 21 years. In 2006, Kaye and her partner, Richard Brown, M.Ed., opened their own GED Center in Northeast Philadelphia offering this unique program developed to help students prepare for the GED Test quickly and successfully. To date, the Center has the highest test pass rate in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas. A big sign hangs inside the classroom saying “There Is Only One Goal--To Pass The Test!”

Stacie Goldsmith, B.A., has been teaching literacy and GED for fourteen years. She has a 10-year extensive background in editing test development questions as well as writing educational programs and curriculum. Goldsmith also has been a program director for various training programs in post-secondary education including Medical Office Administration and Human Services Aide.
