The Tooth Fairy's Mistake

Anything could happen when a curious child and a worn out fairy are forced to team up. How can they make it work?

Annabelle the Tooth Fairy has been hard at work for one hundred years and desperately needs help. She gets it from an unexpected source when Molly persuades Annabelle to take her to Fairyland. Here they discover Molly's own magic...

Advice from the Gnome of the Forest isn't as good as they expected it to be. In the end it is the Grand Fairy who decides what has to be done.

Unfortunately for Annabelle, it isn't easy dealing with Molly's all-too human habits. She has to learn patience and Molly has to learn to do what she's told!

anywhere in the boat.”

- Zoe, 8

“Delightfully written and illustrated with plenty of "tooth fairy adventures!" This book will be read and enjoyed by children of all ages... adults, too!... because we all want to know more about the mysterious tooth fairy and what exactly does that tooth fairy do with all of those teeth that we give her? I laughed and giggled while reading the story as I remembered my days of losing teeth... many moons ago. Thanks for writing this lovely book, Linda Dawley. My grandkids and young students are going to love this book!”
- Kathy K.

“I could hear the voices of the characters, heard every tone and saw every expression. This is more than a story, it was an experience. I became part of the book. My grandchildren will love it as much as I do.”
- Judy S.

“Linda Dawley’s Tooth Fairy Annabelle is overworked and tired; all she has to look forward to is ‘teeth, teeth and more teeth.’
Something has to happen and something does. Being caught by Molly, the daughter of rationalist parents who have raised her to believe only in Scientific Truths, is the catalyst for Annabelle to embark on a journey of self-discovery.
Molly is one of those persistent, precocious children who just ask to be put in their place, but despite her faults she is willing to help. It’s an odd combination of characters, one of the charms of this little book, that generates some unexpected twists and turns to the story.
The rather bureaucratic nature of this Fairyland provides nice humour, with the paper-shuffling Presiding Elf worthy of Kafka himself, the eccentric Gnome of the Forest and the word-play that arises from these encounters.
The Tooth Fairy’s Mistake is a modern fairy tale that will appeal to small girls who like fairy stories with a difference. Parents will enjoy the underlying satire.”
