CCB Publishing is pleased to have assisted with the pre-press production and
ongoing distribution My Favorite Book
Designed like a scrapbook, your child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or a preschooler becomes the star
in this book. While it is designed to encourage preschoolers to read, children will love to have it read
to them. Preschoolers will learn how to recognize the alphabet, colors, and numbers 1 through 20. The
scrapbook introduces preschoolers to rhyming words, different foods, and familiar animals. Phonics, the
foundation for learning how to read, is emphasized by being placed on the book cover. Proper punctuation
is demonstrated throughout the book, with definitions of the most common punctuation marks located in the
back of the book for an easy explanation by the adult. The book even has a section that teaches proper hand
washing to prevent the spread of disease. It is absolutely essential that preschoolers develop a positive
self-image, which will supplant any false self-perception that may be in the mind of a preschooler. This
book will enable children to learn more about themselves, especially how they look, and how their appearance
is constantly changing. Children will imagine themselves taking positive action, encouraging an adventurous
attitude towards life. Due to the design of this book, you can change the pictures as often as you like, or
just purchase additional volumes of My Favorite Book.
Mrs. Regina McClinton Jackson has lived a full and exciting life with her husband of 27 years, and her
two boys: Elijah and Joshua, both currently in their 20’s. Prior to meeting her husband Elijah, Mrs.
Jackson had graduated from the University of Houston. Just shortly after her marriage Mrs. Jackson
earned her second degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Mrs. Jackson
also received a Master of Arts in Teaching from Grand Canyon University.
While raising her two children, Mrs. Jackson continued to expand on her education and her personal
endeavors with theater as a member of the “The Uniques,” where she has been active since 1995.
Currently Mrs. Jackson is teaching a medical laboratory course and a health science technology class
to high school students in Harris County, Texas. During her time as a teacher and a mother, she has
seen the need to properly educate students on the basics of phonics, numbers and general sentence structure.
My Favorite Book was first developed as a teaching tool for her two sons. Mrs. Jackson knows the value
of a good education, and thus she has persuaded the publication of My Favorite Book, in order to help
children of all backgrounds to get a good head start in learning.
