Memoirs of a Violent Sleeper

Steven has suffered from RBD (REM Sleep Behavior Disorder), sometimes referred to as VBS disorder, since the impressionable age of seven. This disorder causes sufferers to violently act out their brain’s dreams, often causing physical harm to themselves, and to their partners (not to mention destruction, and sometimes the defiling, of their own personal property). Ever since his first bizarre occurrence, he has felt isolated, alone and crying out for the love and acceptance from his family, yet pushing them further and further away. In his twenties, his extreme fear of commitment, and anxiety, fueled by this embarrassing disorder sends him into a dangerous world of strippers, prostitutes, drugs and alcohol. That is until Gina walks into his life. With a cast of quirky characters, a satirical and funny look on society, and beyond, Memoirs of a Violent Sleeper takes you through an extraordinary story of the darker side of love.

About the Author

Matt Micheli was born in Austin, Texas in 1980, but spent most of his upbringing along the Gulf Coast. He eventually found his way back to Austin, and has spent the last 11 years calling it home. He enjoys reading thrillers, horror novels, and any books that leave you thinking. His analytical, some-times satirical, and often times funny views of religion, life and beyond are expressed through his writing. For him, writing is an escape from the everyday consistency of what the rest of us call normal.
